As a team of facilitators, we have been providing a range of skills building programmes to neurodiverse families in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for many years. The Hampshire team, previously known as the Hampshire Specialist Parenting Support Service (HSPSS), has been delivering programmes since May 2016. Between May 2016 and March 2023, the team delivered over 448 skills building programmes across Hampshire, with an average of 616 parents and carers participating in a programme with us each year. Demand for our service has grown steadily, with the number of participants increasing from 189 in 2016/17 to 1,270 in 2022/23.
Our colleagues on the Isle of Wight, have been facilitating programmes with neurodiverse families since 2015, with the Parent Factor in ADHD Programme being delivered to 441 parents/carers over an 8-year period, and the Cygnet for ASC Programme reaching 699 carers between May 2016 and spring 2023.
