Right from the Start

Is your child 3-5 years old? Likely to go forward for an autism assessment or diagnosis at 5 years old?

Developed by “Ambitious About Autism”, Right from the Start gives parents a deeper understanding of autism, so that they feel confident and better informed to be able to support their child’s needs as early as possible and pre-diagnosis.

To access our Right from the Start workshops, a referral needs to be submitted by a health or SEN professional, Speech and Language therapist.

morning agenda for autism

There are two 2-hour workshops and a toolkit containing a wealth of straightforward information in one place to guide parents and carers through their child’s journey in the early years. Covered in the workshops are sensory challenges, repetitive behaviours, communication, going out with your child and preparation for pre-school and school, as well as other topics.

These workshops are packed with practical tips and checklists to support parents during the earliest years of their child’s life. As well as ideas for visuals aids there are attachments of additional information relating to the above. They also provide signposting to sources of support or additional information.
